The Korean American Society GKC announced that they held a meaningful presentation promoting the Korean American Society at United Way Kansas City, a leading non-profit organization in the United States.
United Way is a nationally known non-profit organization known for providing financial support through funding to various community groups. This partnership between the Kansas City Korean Association and United Way Kansas City is significant in that it has opened a new field of support for the Korean American Association and local Koreans.
Korean Chairman Mun Kyung-hwan, Director Lee Chang-soo, and former Secretary General Ahn Kyung-hwan attended the meeting and introduced in detail the history and current activities of the Kansas City Korean Society. Attendees discussed ways to further strengthen the financial stability of the Korean American Association through new funding opportunities in the future.
The KASGKC has already successfully won the Catalyst Fund provided by United Way in 2024. Although they applied for Impact 100 this year, they were not selected, but they have been evaluated for their success in promoting the presence and influence of the Korean American Association within the Kansas City region through these continuous efforts.
An official from the Korean Society said, “We were able to establish a stronger partnership with United Way through this presentation,” and “I hope that the KASGKC Community can shine even more in the local community based on a partnership that continues in the future.”
This partnership is expected to be an important stepping stone for the KASGKC community to further strengthen ties with the local community and expand various services and support for Korean people.
